Taking a nap on a car roof is not a new experience for Tiddles, but this time it leads to him becoming BOGOF the Supermarket cat. After a hair-raising ride on the roof of a car Tiddles finds himself in a Supermarket car-park. Deciding to explore he meets a shop worker called Fred, and then finds his way into the Supermarket. Tiddles is discovered by Mr Brown the Supermarket manager and Fred. They are surprised that he managed to get into the shop and as he seems so clever they find him work to do, and name him BOGOF.

Disaster strikes later in the day, the car BOGOF came on has disappeared! How will he get back home? Will he carry on working at the Supermarket? And who knows what exciting adventures are just around the corner for BOGOF the Supermarket Cat!

BOGOF is no ordinary cat, he is a Supermarket cat. Every day he works at keeping rats and mice under control at Mr Brown’s Supermarket. His two best friends are Fred, a Supermarket worker, and Mr Blackbird. It is a week before Christmas and time to put up and decorate a Christmas tree outside the Supermarket. All goes well until decoration time, Fred has lost the lights! What can BOGOF do to help his friend?

Fred tells BOGOF that he has a Christmas present for both him and Mr Blackbird. BOGOF panics when he realises that he has not got a present for Fred, and finds Mr Blackbird to tell him the bad news. After a lot of thought the resourceful pair finally have a bright idea. What is Fred’s present going to be, and will he like it?

Today is a very important day for all the staff at the Supermarket, because the Mayor will be judging the ‘Best Supermarket in Town’ competition. BOGOF arrives early at the Supermarket and is asked by Fred to sort out the flags on the roof. This proves too difficult for BOGOF and he needs some help. Later on there is a real disaster involving a walk-in freezer; can BOGOF warn Fred in time?

Everybody works very hard getting the Supermarket looking at its best, including BOGOF who makes sure that there are no rats or mice around. The Mayor arrives and begins his inspection, but at the end of the tour he can’t make up his mind which of the three Supermarkets in the town is the best. Will all their work have been in vain, or will Mr Brown’s team win the competition?

These first 3 books are an introduction to the main characters; BOGOF, Fred, Mr Brown and Mr Blackbird. They also give a bit of an insight as to how a Supermarket works.

Mr Brown decides to promote a new range of Custard Cream biscuits by having a "Buy One Get One Free". Fred is given the job of delivering leaflets to all the houses in the area telling everyone about the offer. BOGOF and Mr Blackbird go along with Fred to help him, and very soon the three friends find themselves involved in a very scary situation in which Fred is in real danger of getting badly hurt!

On the first day of the Custard Cream offer Mr Brown is not a happy man. It is only a half an hour before opening time and there is no sign of the lorry delivering the biscuits. While everybody panics, Mr Blackbird flies off in search of the lorry. He finds it and tells BOGOF where it is, but can BOGOF and Mr Blackbird help in getting the biscuits delivered in time to save the day?

After hearing the news of a local Supermarket break in, BOGOF is relieved to learn that Mr Brown has ordered new fire and burglar alarms to be fitted in his Supermarket. However, all may not be as it seems, because later on in the day BOGOF overhears a snatch of conversation by the men fitting the new alarms, that made him very suspicious.

On Sunday BOGOF decides that he must return to the Supermarket late that night, he is sure that something is going to happen. What will BOGOF find when he reaches the Supermarket? But what is even more important is, who can he call on to help him in this dangerous adventure?

Mr Brown has a good idea; he is going to have a Café built at the front of the Supermarket. Both BOGOF and Mr Blackbird are very excited about it; however BOGOF discovers a problem with the Café plans. Can BOGOF make Fred understand that something is wrong?

On the day that the Café is opened the weather is nice and sunny, the customers seem very happy and Mr Blackbird is kept busy clearing up all the crumbs that fall on the ground. Later on the weather changes and it starts to rain, and very soon it looks as though there will be a thunderstorm. Disaster strikes when Fred tries to close the roof panels; one of the panels has got stuck and the rain pours in. BOGOF and Mr Blackbird try to help, but will they succeed before the Café is flooded?

BOGOF, Fred, Mr Brown and Mr Blackbird are now very good friends and have lots of exciting adventures together.

The Supermarket is due for a visit from a Health and Safety Officer, and Fred has to be on hand to take notes and and arrange any alterations. Of course BOGOF finds it all very interesting and "supervises" everything.

The Health and Safety Officer makes it clear that a crushing machine must have an Emergency Stop button, and Fred arranges to have one fitted. A couple of days later disaster strikes! Fred is caught in the crusher and BOGOF is the only one around that can help him. Can BOGOF can save Fred from being very badly hurt? And will everything turn out alright in the end for our hero?

Mr Brown has had a wonderful idea! The Supermarket is starting a Home Delivery Service. Things go very well in the beginning, with BOGOF helping out, but a windy day changes all this. Luckily BOGOF and Mr Blackbird are on hand to save the situation. BOGOF meets lots of new people while on the delivery rounds, and some times gets a lift home.

As you know all cats are very inquisitive, and most of the time this is a good thing. But on one particular occasion it turned out to be a very frightening experience for BOGOF. It all started with a bag of frozen peas, and ended with a very cold, very wet, cat. Read how BOGOF gets out of this one!
